Description

Downer Management is a 3-vs-3 bureaucratic autobattler about managing three difficult employees through a hostile org chart. Promote, demote, file, transfer. Eleven departments — each with a unique aura passive — clash through positional politics. You don't control the fight. You control where they sit.

Pick your last job at character creation — Head of Legal, Head of Maintenance, Head of HR. That choice unlocks your starter dept plus two secondaries. Earn the other eight by clearing their buildings.

Forms in triplicate. Termination is permanent.

• Three-desk combat. Upper, Middle, Entry positions each modify damage and resilience.
• Eleven departments, eleven auras. Bench composition is a strategy puzzle — each benched unit projects its dept's effect on the row above.
• Pick your last job. Boss creation lets you choose your home dept + 2 secondaries. Earn the rest by clearing their buildings. Massive run-to-run variety.
• Procedural personnel. Hire from a shifting applicant pool. Every employee has a role, traits, and a small exhausted personality.
• The Forms. Skills are Memos, Audits, Cold Calls, Performance Improvement Plans, Hostile Takeovers, Wrench Smashes — every attack is paperwork.
• The Theme Machine. Procedural 80s-corporate aesthetic generator. File a Department Theme — Open Plan, Hold Music, Exit Interview, After Hours.
• Parking Lot Incident Reports. A parking-garage Fieldwork roguelike layers under the main run. Boot clamps, tow trucks, meter checks. Get out before a Boss Boss arrives in a town car.
